As part of a new overall deal with Universal Cable Productions, Grant Morrison will bringto television.
According to, Morrison has agreed to develop and produce original content for UCP’s television networks and streaming services. The Invisibles adaptation will be part of this deal. At the time of writing, it is unclear which particular network will air the series.
Working with Vertigo, Morrison first launched The Invisibles in 1994. Since then, the series has boasted work from artists like Steve Yeowell, Jill Thompson, Phil Jimenez, Ivan Reis, Sean Phillips, Ashley Wood, Michael Lark and many more. The series follows members of an Invisible College cell that uses time travel, magic and more to fight against oppression.
Currently, Morrison is working with UPC to bring Happy! back to SyFy for a second season. Morrison acts as executive producer on the series with his pilot co-writer Brian Taylor. The series has been a hit for the SyFy, with its premiere delivering the network’s largest audience since January 2016. The series stars Christopher Meloni as Sax and Patton Oswalt as Happy.
