On August 28, 1993, the world was introduced to the first episode of thetelevision series. Almost overnight, the series became a global phenomenon, one that is still going strong to this day. While the original iteration of the Power Rangers only lasted three seasons, the franchise would keep going with new teams, new actors and an ever-expanding mythology. In 2018, the series is still going strong, with Season 25, Power Rangers Super Ninja Steel.
To celebrate 25 years of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Hasbro has now officially declared August 28, 2018 National Power Rangers Day. The news was made official on, with an announcement that calls for every fan of the Power Rangers, no matter the iteration, to wear the colors of their favorite Rangers and share the fun on social media with the hashtag: #NationalPowerRangersDay.

Hasbro recently acquired, in the hopes of unlocking the massive potential of the fan-favorite characters in all mediums. This move is simply the first in what is sure to be a massive focus on the Power Rangers from the company going forward.
The success of the franchise doesn’t stop at television. Currently, BOOM! is in the midst of publishing a massive comic book story to commemorate 25 years of Power Rangers with the fan-favorite storyline “Shattered Grid.” On top of that, after the mild success of the live-action 2017 film,to bring the Power Rangers to new heights of popularity.
